Behind The Lens
Location
This photograph was taken on the North shore of Lake Erie, about 8 kms west of Port Colborne, Ontario.Time
This was a late afternoon shot; long shadows time with that dramatic light coming in from the southwest behind the massive storm frontLighting
Nothing much; I like to look for dramatic cloud formations, fronts, edges of storms coming through; particularly near lakesEquipment
Canon T5i; don't recall the lens, but likely some sort of medium zoom. No flash and no tripodInspiration
I'm not religious, but like those powerful kinds of stormy photos that show the gloriousness of mother nature.Editing
Hmm, I might have used a bit of extra contrast to enhance the feeling/dramatic effect. In my camera bag
Depends of the day. If I go out specifically to take pictures, then it is at least three lenses, 100-400 zoom, 80-200, then a small portrait lens for close up. I usually forget my tripod, and wish that I hadn't. It's kind of hit and miss, unless I'm in one of those moody moods, then I get some neato shots.Feedback
I just look for something emotional in the visual I think. You want to evoke for at least some one else, what you are seeing and feeling. For me, the moodier the better
