This photo was taken on New Year Day 01/01/2016 at Bridestowe Lavender Estate, in Tasmania, Australia. I'm a self taught photographer, so I learned and do everything myself.Time
Actually, we were there for a short family vacation. It was around 9:30AM when we arrived. There's not many visitors around and I'm glad because I just want a purely landscape shot without any distraction. As soon and I entered the field and saw this, I immediately took my camera and clicked.Lighting
This shot was taken naturally, so the source of lighting is the sunlight.Equipment
This shot was taken from my Sony A7II, 16-35mm F4 lens. F4, shutter speed 1/250secs and ISO100. No other equipment.Inspiration
Bridestowe lavender Estate has the biggest lavender field in Australia and I've always want to see lavender field as I have never seen in my life. This was my time first there so when I arrived I was so excited and run around like a little kid.Editing
Yes. the was taken in RAW and I used Lightroom and Photoshop to edit. I want to draw the view attention to the lavender as it has so many leading lines and the sky is a bit empty. So I used the clarity from Lightroom to bring out the clouds so that can look dramatic. Then brought to photoshop to do some final editing with color and stuff. No composite and photoshop manipulation here.In my camera bag
've started photography since beginning of 2014. Photography is my hobby therefore I don't have many equipment. I only carried in my bag is my camera Sony A7II, 50mm F1.8 lens, 16-35mm F4 lens, tripod and a cheap reflector and I'm a natural light photographer.Feedback
I'm a natural light photographer so my source of light is from the sun, I don't use flash. I sometimes used reflector when I do portrait photo shoot. Landscape photography is all about timing, and happen to be at the right place at the right time. Many photographers do go out of their way to get the shot they wanted and some photographers like myself, just happened to be at the right place and right time to and captured that precious moment. Pick a style of photography you like, etc portrait, landscape, street photography or fashion, and work on it til you master it. Be flexible so you can easily adapt to the change of weather and lighting condition etc.
