Monastiraki Square, Athens.

Time

I took this photo around 7-8pm evening when I am heading back to my hostel after a long day walking around the city.

Lighting

Nothing much.

Equipment

I took this photo handheld using my Canon EOS 6D Dslr.

Inspiration

I saw a big crowd at Monastiraki Square when I was heading back to my accommodation in the evening so I went to check out what was happening there. Attracted by the performer's stunt, I thought that it would be nice to present the photograph which includes the movement of the performer and the fire. With limited equipment (Without tripod), I tried to shoot it by stabilizing my hand on the floor when I pressed the shutter. With few tries, I finally got a fairly decent result with minimal camera shake. I was happy with the shot taken.

Editing

I used Adobe Lightroom to do a slight processing to bring out the color and contrast of the fire.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 6D camera with Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM lens. And I usually bring my tripod with shutter release remote when I am out shooting at night.

Feedback

It is best to have a tripod with you, shoot in manual and find good composition to include the crowds and the performer.
