We recently got Dash from a local humane society. He was the longest cat that lived at the shelter before he was adopted by an older woman last year (2014). (The older lady actually renamed him Sherlock.) He ended up having an infection in his mouth and the lady had all but two teeth pulled. Since he only has two teeth, he normally has his tongue sticking out between them. This past June (2015), he was returned to the humane society. The lady said he was peeing all over the house and apparently she had gotten another cat and Dash didn't like this other cat.
We already had-have two cats, a guinea pig (who died a few short weeks after we adopted Dash), and a dog. When Dash first came home both the other cats would hiss at him any chance they got and the dog would bark at him (she still does). Now all of the cats are getting along a lot better. Dash also likes to knock all of the water out of the water dishes (I think his old owner may have thought the water was pee).
