This photo was taken at Edithvale Beach Victoria, Australia.Time
This was just after sunset.Lighting
This was taken with 5 images at different stops to try and emulate what the natural eye could see.Equipment
This was taken with a Canon 600D with an Canon EF-S18-55mm IS STM lens. ISO 100 & F16. (5 Images merged via Photomatix & edited in Lightroom and Photoshop)Inspiration
I'm sure most photographers can appreciate this, since taking up photography as a hobby, I now have a good read on whether it's going to be a good sunset or not. I was driving home from work one night, looked up at the cloud formation and thought "Yep it's going to be a nice sunset tonight". I always have my trusty Canon 600D in the car, with a tripod hidden under the seat, so I drove straight to this location in Edithvale which I know is quite picturesque. I was waiting for the man walking his dog to come into the frame so I could capture the feel of him enjoying their sunset walk.Editing
As mentioned before this is 5 images merged as one via Photomatix and Lightroom. My main objective was to show the natural beauty of this location without over exaggerating the colours. In my camera bag

Lighting and Framing is the key. A few moments after the sun has set is normally the best time to capture.
