This is a very cool shot, I admit being puzzled about the shadows. They don't seem "consistent" since they are both horizontal and vertical. Wondering if it's a costume or a layered texture. Whichever...it's really, really nice.

Thank you. As I explained previously they are not shadows they are projection, and I did not use straight lines I used circular ones. I am happy someone noticed ;)

Location
This picture was taken in the model's living room that we turn into a mini studio. My clients prefer the privacy and the comfort of their own home where they can feel more confident.Time
This was taken almost a year and half ago but I believe it was just after 5pm when Jenna finished work.Lighting
The beauty about projection lighting is that you got complete control of it so you can give the mood you want in the images. My friend fitness model Jenna was fantastic at taking poses and showing different types of expression so we really had lots of fun with this session especially because we could review the pictures right away since the camera was tethered to the computer.Equipment
A good tripod is definitely necessary for this type of shoot. Even though at the time I used a fast 85mm lens for the whole session I had to take long exposure as I did not want to push my ISO too high and get noise in the process. My projector is just a normal one but the better quality projector you use the better results you get of course. I also use a black backdrop to isolate my subject and get more contrast.Inspiration
Famous French photographer Lucien Clergue very well known for his zebra nudes and friend of Pablo Picasso inspired me to do this image. When I like something I just put it on top of my list so I learn how to do it and then I move onto something else. But after I did this image called " Tribute to Lucien Clergue " I had the idea to try something different with the same process that I like a lot and that is when I added colors and shapes ( see my other images ). Those in projection create patterns that transform the model into a canvas that can be posed to make the most poignant photograph.Editing
Not much post processing just a but more clarity and shadows to hide what needs to be hidden. In my camera bag
I like to have more than not enough just in case... My camera is a Canon 5DIII - also have a Canon 7D in another bag- and my three favorite lenses are the 70-200mm f2.8 II, 24-70mm f2.8 II and the 85mm f1.2. Got also an Expodisc and a light meter that I only use in studio for my strobes.Feedback
Think out of the box and try until you get it right then add a personal touch to make it different. It is good to explore with different settings as you can learn a lot in the process about the effects you can get with just small variations with light position, angles, settings, poses. I recommend to tether your camera so you know right away what changes need to be done with your settings to get the best results. And it is much easier also when your model is enjoying the session too and have fun with you in creating those images because don't forget you are a team when you work together. With Jenna in this picture it was not work, it was passion and fun during the whole session and good personalities working together always help to create beautiful images.
