Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during my trip to Hawaii. I was staying at this absolutely beautiful resort and as I was relaxing on the balcony I looked up, saw the sunset, and couldn't resist capturing the majesty of the scene.

Time

July 8, 2013, 7:18 PM.

Lighting

This picture was taken at the time when the sun was still in the sky enough to light it up, but not enough to overpower or drown the palms in light.

Equipment

Simply my Nikon Coolpix S210, that's it.

Inspiration

It was Hawaii, there isn't a more picturesque place I could be. I had to at least try and capture the beauty.

Editing

Some fading on the edges to focus on the center of the picture and tools to make the color pop more.

In my camera bag

This picture was taken during a much simpler time where I was happy just bringing my camera and seeing what I could capture.

Feedback

Always keep watch of your surroundings, you never know what little (or big) thing can turn into the best picture you've ever taken. Nothing is too obvious or too subtle.
