Location
I took this photo in a wood near Criccieth North Wales UKTime
I took this photo at 10:42am ( photo properties ) on the 19th March 2015Lighting
I had been out since about 7:30am that morning and was on my way back and the spring sun was just breaking through the clouds giving the light and shadows being cast over the bridge and groundEquipment
I used a Sony A200 camera with 18-55mm lens, Aperture 20mm, F-stop f9, ISO-100, Exposure 1/15th sec using a tripod and a wired remoteInspiration
As I said I was on my way back and I liked the way the sun shone through the trees and liked the rickety character of the bridge thought it made a neat combinationEditing
I used photoshop using a levels adjustment and colour balance just to make the colours pop a bitIn my camera bag
I upgraded my camera since this photo to a Sony A35 , I have the 18-35 lens I used for this photo a Minolta 75-300mm and have just purchased a Sigma 500mm , a set of 2,4,8 ND filters an Hoya skylight filter, a set of 2,4,6,8 close up filters ( not tried these yet must make time to do so) these all fit the 18-35 and 75-300 lenses and for the 500mm lens I have a UV filter and a CPL filterFeedback
Never put your camera away and always keep your eyes open like I said I was on my way back and was only about 200 yards from where I had parked my car and of course luck played a part if I had been a few minutes earlier or later the sun and shadow which drew me to take the shot may not have been there so always be alert
