Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken in Jayaprakash Narayan Biodiversity Park popularly known as JP park Bangalore. This park is located in Mathikere, a residential area of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Time

Late evening post 7 PM. JP park has Musical Fountain shows every week ends and on Government Holidays to attract tourists.

Lighting

No extra lighting than what the Musical Fountain arena was providing. It is just late evening after 7 PM and hence we were directly under Moon & stars. Only light and sound is from the Fountain and that is how the whole frame is colourful.

Equipment

A Sony DSC-HX100V camera. Though it is a long exposure shot haven't carried my tripod as visit to park was unplanned. I used the steps in the arena to balance and click this long exposure shot.

Inspiration

The beautiful artistic blend of colours, dancing water and light produced an out-of-the world experience. When the frame is filled with colours, it brings joy and love into our life.

Editing

No, I didn't do any post-processing of this image.

In my camera bag

I always carry my Sony DSC-HX100V camera with extra battery if required. When I know that I will get a chance for a long exposure shot or some still shots, then I carry my tripod for stability. However, many times I have just used the ground, rocks, fence and other objects for long exposure shots.

Feedback

I usually avoid Post processing, so would visit the place repeatedly to correct my perspective to get clear picture. Carry a strong tripod and good lenses and wait for a song with high pitches were almost all types of fountains are turned on and you get whole of our frames is filled with colour.
