Location
Ramsay, south east Queensland, AustraliaTime
some time in the morning. around 6amLighting
it was a misetable amd overcast day morning which meant the lightimg was hreat for it!Equipment
canon 7D, 10-22mm lens, and a tripodInspiration
I was to be honest having a terrible time taking images and had low confidence. I was hoping that morning to get a nice sunrise shot but when I got there it was foggy and miserable. I had pretty much given up on trying, when out of the corner of my eye as I was leaving I spotted this bombed out car on the edge of a cliff. what you don't see in this shot is the very steep embankment behind the car, and I still to this day have no idea how it got there. But it sparked my passion again and this is a very important image for me.Editing
I upped the contrast and played with the detail in the car to try and make it 'rusty' and old looking. In my camera bag
I normally have my 7D, 10-22mm and 17-55mm lenses. and a 50mm 1.8 lens. a couple of filters for long exposures and a shutter release cable.Feedback
think about angles. try and look at a scene from a different view. and experiment. take heaps of shots if you have to. cameras are digital!
