Behind The Lens
Location
In my front yard.Time
I just got home from work in the evening and saw this spider positioned perfectly in the middle of its web between two trees.Lighting
It was kind of dark so I knew I'd need artificial light so I set up for using the camera flash.Equipment
I set up my Canon Rebel DSLR with the stardard zoom lens on a tripod, set the camera close to the spider, pressed the shutter with timer. I ran around to the other side of the web in time to give an awe-struck expression and get in the shot.Inspiration
The size, color, and position of this beautiful creature made me want to use a more unusual perspective for the shotEditing
A little bit of cropping and increased saturation was about all I did.In my camera bag
Very basic things..this camera with lens, extra battery and memory card, and a backup point & shoot.Feedback
Try to look at and see things from different perspectives and experiment!
