I was for a walk with a friend of mine and her little dog (a pug) in the wide fields of Burgenland (Austria).Time
It was in the early afternoon of a wonderful summer day 2013.Lighting
Not really anything special to say about the lighting - it was just a bright and sunny day. :)Equipment
I am not quite sure about the lense I have used, but I can tell that I used a Canon EOS 550D. I guess I have used a Canon EF 100mm/1:2,8 USM Macro, but as I said, I am not sure about that. No tripod, no flash or filters ...Inspiration
It is quite obvious, I think - the red flower in combination with the green of the grass just delivers a great contrast. There is a chinese saying (not sure if it is quoted exactly like that): "One red upon a thousand green."Editing
I just did some color correction and adjustments (exposure, clarity, vignette, ...) in Lightroom an Photoshop. In my camera bag
Normally I fill my backpack with a Canon 70D and a Canon 6D (I am a lazy guy and with two cameras I do not have to switch the lenses that often anymore) and several lenses (and yes, I just love prime lenses): Canon EF 100mm/1:2,8 USM Macro Canon EF 85mm/ 1,8/ USM Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4,0 L IS USM Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Canon EF-S 18-55mm 1:3,5-5,6 IS STM Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Usually I have a GorillaPod with me and sometimes I also take a very simple tripod from AmazonBasics with me. Normally I also have a Canon Speedlite 430EX II with me, but I really do not use it that often - as I said, I am a lazy guy and besides that I just prefer natural light. Sometimes I also take a battery grip from xcsource with me - this depends on what I am shooting and which backpack I use this day; I have a small one from deviantart which only has space for one camera and 3 - 4 lenses. If I decide to take this one, I normally also use the battery grip to save some space.Feedback
Hmm ... I can't tell you any secret or something like that. Just experience the world with an open heart and open eyes. ;)
