Congratulations on your several wins. This is really cool. Wonderful capture. It particularly caught my attention because at first I thought it was shot at the same place I had been a few months earlier. I live in the US, but was at a mall in Monterrey, Mexico and made a shot of 3 young girls in front of this same game, Spin N Win. I don't have it posted here on VB, but what a coincidence. I really enjoyed reading about this image in the Behind the Lens section. Congratulations on a winner image!

Behind The Lens

Location

I did this shoot in an traditional Austrian Theme Park called ``Prater``

Time

This shot happens at the end of a Photowalk trough vienna with an good friend if dont saw for a while We both bought us bevor a short time an a film camera. So this was a perfect situation for discussing und experimenting about analoge photography. Just one little issue we had, we forgot a tripod. In the first moment we was a bit unmotivated after we came on that. But we change our Ideas of longtime exposures and searched for some pretty lights. We have found them.

Lighting

it just happens that the guy looks upside cause the lights in the background was to strong that i would see his face afterwards, but there was a little shine from a hanging lamp over him. Then my dicision was easy.

Equipment

Nikon fe2 Nikkor 85mm f2 expired TriX No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

A few beers, good conversations

Editing

I did reworked a the contrast and worked with dodge and burn. Done in Photoshop cs6. At this Image a really do that much, came nearly out like that. I wonderd myself;)

In my camera bag

I´m quite minimalistic. Just carry my Nikon fe2, a 85mm and 50mm lens, some differnt film.

Feedback

take a tripod with you then you dont have to meditate a half hour bevor you shoot that you can hold your cam with a apperture 30 of a sec like me in this situation
