I was sitting at Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur, India at dusk when i looked at the peaceful water in the lake and then looked at my camera and i knew the moment was right.Time
It was that time of the day in Udaipur where there was just me and the silent lake, there was a beautiful mix and harmony of colours in front of me. Just the right mix of calm and serendipity. It seemed like mother nature had put up this show just for me and i tried my best to do justice to the view with my camera. The time when the sun was about to set, giving way to the moon and the bright stars. When i looked at my watch the time was 1730 Hrs, 23rd July 2014Lighting
I had been waiting for a long time for the right moment when the sun would call it a day and display the beautiful vibrant colours of light.Equipment
I feel photography for me isn't about the camera but more of creativity and imagination, with this idea in mind i used my handheld trusty Sony Xperia Z for this shoot.Inspiration
Living in Udaipur, which is the lakes city of India i always wanted to do justice to its natural beauty. The sun sets here behind mountains and its reflection can be seen in the lakes. A picture perfect site. Always wanted to have this beautiful view captured by my camera and make it a permanent memory. An exquisite quote from Rabindranath Tagore: “Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.â€Editing
I did a little bit of editing using the basic softwares to enhance the colors followed by a small touch of exposure to enlighten the image. In my camera bag
To be honest most of the time i carry my Canon 1200d (EF S18-55 IS II + 55-250 mm IS II) but i also take shots from my phone (Blackberry z10) because i believe photography isn't about some professional camera it's about the imagination and creativity that i always focus on before taking any shots and to project them directly into the camera as i imagineFeedback
For someone to capture similar landscape i would suggest them to wait for the right moment and be prepared. if you're not carrying your professional camera then i would suggest to take shot from your phone because it doesn't matter what your camera specification is, what matter is finding the right place to take the perfect shot
