Saw a story in the Sunday paper one morning about a boot fence somewhere in the Hill Country in Texas. When a horse passes away, a boot is placed upside down on a fence rail. I'm not originally from Texas, though it's been my home for over 20 years. I'd never heard of doing this with boots even though I grew up around horses so, I got in the car, made the 6 hour drive and this is the result.
