I like the composition and idea, but to me it feels a bit blah. Can you contrast it a bit more, maybe warm it up a bit, to give it more life? I know it's winter. Or, you could go the otherway and really cool it. And you could also really contrast it first, then desaturate it and turn it into a black and white.

Bigbarritto: This shot is beautifully thought out: single subject against background and foreground. However, I would increase the saturation of the blue sky and, perhaps, the yellow or red of the dead grass. Bump up the punch. I agree with PattiC below.
