Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Rockaway off the main road on a small driving trail.

Time

I took this photo around 4pm. I was out for a hike, and I was taking photos of the fall scenery around me. However, driving back, this scene captivated me, and I knew that this was the one.

Lighting

I used the natural reflection of the sun to illiumniate the scene. In my opinion, natural light looks the best.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon EOS RP with a Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens. I didn't use any other equipment such as a tripod or external lighting.

Inspiration

Every morning, I would look outside and see the beautiful changing colors on the trees. I knew that it was the season to capture something that made me proud.

Editing

I did not do a whole lot. I mainly balanced the exposure, constrast, saturation and vibrance, etc. Although, I also did put on a lightroom profile to make the scene truly pop.

In my camera bag

I don't normally keep much with me. Usually it's just my camera, and my phone to scout out a potential location. Other than that, I let nature and my creativity rule.
