A Giant Tortoise making a bit of effort to get its lunchtime snack, even raising one leg off the ground! This is one of the well-known giant tortoises on the Seychelles - here on the island of La Digue. We have been doing a bit of archive research and this was captured some 35 years ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if the tortoise is still going strong as they regularly live to over 100 years old.
