Behind The Lens

Location

We were driving on our way to our destination and we saw these beautiful Animals on the side of the road. I had to stop and take a few photos. Capture these bulls has been on my "Shoot List" for the past 3 years. Finally got my Shot!!!

Time

We were just driving after my daughter's Gymnastic competition, in Hokitika to go to do some outdoor activities, the road was straight with just trees for a while, then we road turned, and right there these beauties were just relaxing, eating away minding their own business. This photo was taken on Saturday, 24th September 2022 Around 15:00 pm

Lighting

Try To ensure that you get enough Light with not shadow overcast.

Equipment

This photo was shot with Canon EOS 850D, with EF-S55-250mm F/4-5.6 IS Canon EF-S 55-250 Lens

Inspiration

These bulls are enormous and look so scary, yet they are fury and adorable, like teddy bears. Yet they are so Calm and relaxed until they get angered and then you see a different side of them.

Editing

Yes, I edited it Adobe Lightroom, Did some masking for Lighting, and used a Black & White Preset, to bring out the black with some add-on Dehaze.

In my camera bag

My Canon EOS 850D Camera with my Wide Angle Lens, and my Standard lens, 2 batteries and a Natural Filter

Feedback

You can get up close with these animals, I would just double Check the Lighting and Angle.
