Shingleback - Stumpy tailed lizard.

Shingleback - Stumpy tailed lizard. This is an Australian lizard. We have them in our garden but we have only seen them a handful of times. Length is up to 410 mm and give birth to live only two or three young that measure up to 220 mm in total length and weigh as much as 200 g.

I took part in an Animal Macro event. I got to meet a bunch of creatures and some lovely people.
Some shots were taken with studio lighting and others with on-camera flash.
