To my dearest

Now we Ethiopian are nearest to completing our raining season

and the

mountains greening with different plant sand decorating with

many

flowers it is wonderful nature gift to

celebrate our New Year after some days...... The sun being come

out

creating an atmosphere of

darling clarity and fresh clean air…..September is both New

Years day

and the feast of St. John the

Baptist……. The day is called Enkutatash meaning the “gift of

jewels”

the famous queen of

She bare turned from her expensive jaunt to visit kind Solomon

in Jerusalem……

her chiefs welcomed her back by replenishing her treasury with

Enku
orjewe  ls……. The spring festival has been celebrated…… since
these early times and the rains come to their abrupt
end, dancing and singing can be heard at every village in green
countryside…….. After dark
on New Nears every people light fires outside the house………
Enkutatash is not
exclusively a religious holiday and the little girls singing and
dancing in pretty new dresses among
the flowers in the fields convey the message of spring time and
renewed
life………….befor 3 dyas Enkutatash also the reason for exchanging formal New Year greetings and cards among the urban sophisticated in
lieu of
the traditional bouquet to flowers……. the people running to
preparing what is good to make the day colorful mean
traditional food and beers, and by slough sheep, goat, hen, and others........... The New-year will be the good opportunity to plan nice and go on with the new spirit....... Get
ready to receive my deep and deepest heartily wishing........ I
am very glad to saying and wishing you joyful and prosperous
I wish you happy Ethiopian New Year!!
