Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken at a macro reflection workshop, set up in someone’s home.

Time

If I remember rightly this was a morning session, although, being in a studio set up that’s doesn’t effect this shot.

Lighting

The lighting was all set up on runners on the ceiling with reflectors etc also set up, I don’t actually remember the make of the lighting unfortunately.

Equipment

I was using my canon 5div paired with the sigma 105 macro.

Inspiration

I love macro photography. Finding different things to photograph is always fun, this was a great opportunity to try it out in a studio setting with some animals I wouldn’t normally be able to interact with.

Editing

I’m pretty sure this was straight out of the camera to be honest. We did a few test shots to make sure we were really capturing the colours of the frog.

In my camera bag

My go to is always my canon 5div body and I tend to switch between my sigma 105 2.8 macro, my canon 24-70 and my sigma 150-600 depending on what I’m doing.

Feedback

Look out for photography workshops, they’re a good idea for trying things out you wouldn’t normally do. Lots of fun with lots of tips and advice to help you along.
