Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a small and almost deserted island on the west coast of Norway - called Rognaldsvåg.

Time

It was about 5:30 in the morning.

Lighting

I wanted the lights and shadows in this picture to show how ambiguous and gloomy life on this island can be.

Equipment

For this shot I used what I had at the moment. An iPhone 8 camera.

Inspiration

The inhabitants of Rognaldsvåg and their daily life were inspiration for this photo.

Editing

I cropped this picture to show more of the coast and changed the colours in the edit.

In my camera bag

I normally have different equipment with me. I like to change on daily basis what I have to work with to not be dependent on one thing.

Feedback

To achieve a similar composition which shows something that represent its place - I would say think that the person and the setting is one thing.
