It's been 11 years almost to the day since I took the sunset photo from Black Rock. This time I roused early at 5:30 am to catch the first light of the day with an art piece in the foreground. This desert is so photogenic, yet so difficult to survive in. The air was clear from the dust storms and 40mph gusts the day before.

Found just off a dirt road in Maine in August.

Found this guy while foraging for berries for my breakfast while camping (wild black berries to add to my oatmeal). Couldn't resist this shot.
