I took this photo of my mother in a moving vehicle. I actually made a small portrait series around this piece where I’ve shot photographs of different family members in moving vehicles but in a peculiar way.Time
I can’t remember what time this was taken but it was definitely past 12:00am. Very late.Lighting
Only lighting here is coming from the streetlights, no manipulation on my part. I sort of just let it do it’s thing, that’s the beauty of this photo.Equipment
This was shot with my phone actually! I didn’t have my camera on me at the moment unfortunately.Inspiration
I took this photo on a whim. In a way, it was “a happy accident”. It was dark outside and I wanted to see how well my phone camera could shoot. Curiosity had led me to create this. It’s as simple as that.Editing
After I took this photo, I went home and immediately began planning out a mini project. I decided that I wanted most of the photos in the series to be “happy accidents” as well and would let everything (lighting, movement, etc.) do it’s own thing with barely any control on my part.In my camera bag
I normally use my canon m50 and a 15-45mm lens. That’s all I need when I’m on the go.Feedback
Experimentation is a must and try to take a photo as if your camera is working on its own.
