The Northwest is most beautiful in the year on two occasions, when the fields are in the watering season and when the rice fields are gilded all over the fertile terraces. Every spring, villages in the Northwest pour into the fields to build dams, embankments, grass fields, and water channels. The water from the field pours from one field to another, shimmering in the color of alluvium mixed with the color of the sky reflected, creating a wonderful picture of colors. Perhaps, no other painter can mix colors as vividly, naturally and full of life as these farmers in the Northwest.
