Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in Sochi, on the abandoned part of the old road to Krasnaya Polyana. This beautiful part was closed in 2005 via high risk of rockfalls.Time
It was shot in the middle of the day, around 12-13 p.m. mostly because I got there by accident.Lighting
There was a rainfall half an hour before this photo was taken and the canyon got covered with layers of fog. Leaves got this deep rich green some kind dramatic look. Lighting was very even and smooth.Equipment
It was shot with Fuji X-T3 and TT Artisan 7.5 mm f2 Fisheye lens.Inspiration
I dreamt for some time to get to this closed part of the road and was very excited to finally get there. I wandered around looking for spots, that could convey all the Beaty and vastness of the place, combine all pieces like road, river, rocs, trees, fog, all of them together. And it was one of them.Editing
I brought back the sky and fog, cause I nearly blown them out, and corrected greens a bit to recreate that same look I remembered. In my camera bag
My Fuji X-T3, K&F Concept tripod, Fuji 18-55 kit lens, pair of K&F Concept ND filters, and some additional ttartisan manual prime lenses, depending on the type of the shoot.Feedback
I think that it's really important and it's one of the things that I'm learning myself as a beginner photographer to take time, work on the composition, trying to think on what exactly do I want to show in the shot, what feeling to convey, before taking the shot.
