This is my late uncle David Morris Denton strumming his beautiful Gibson 12-string guitar. He was a wonderful storyteller and sang beautifully. He grew up on a dairy farm in the mountains of North Carolina, where the workdays were long and the chores backbreaking. While performing solo one night as a folk music artist one summer at a lodge in the hills of Kentucky, he noticed a beautiful female voice join in and begin harmonizing with him. That lovely voice was Margaret (Peggy.), and anyone who heard the two of them together would never forget their beautiful close harmony.
David and Peggy married soon after and lived what many of their friends and family considered a storybook marriage. With the addition of 2 handsome kids, quite a few fast horses, a bright red tractor, and a dozen or so farmhouse dogs that learned to give the stallions a wide berth around the barn and riding ring.
