Location
This photo was taken on the Lake Michigan shoreline near Manistee Michigan. The timing was right that evening, was amazed at how beautiful the sunset was.Time
This photo was taken in the evening in the month of may 2021.Lighting
This photo was so beautiful that it tells the story of a gorgeous day ending with a breath taking view.Equipment
I used a Canon eos T7 free hand.Inspiration
Seeing these sunset since I was a kid, and loving every single one I've seen to date. Having a new camera, I wanted to try and photograph this sunset. Turned out better than I could have imagined.Editing
No I did no photo shopping or cropping. This is the original. Messing with this photo, I think would ruin it.In my camera bag
Canon T7, Sony A380, Sony cyber-shot dsc-h300. For lenses. The Canon I carry a 75-300mm zoom lens. 1:4-5.6 , 70-210mm 1:4 zoom lens, 18-55mm macro 0.25m/0.8ft. For my Sony A380, I carry a AF 35-105 sky IA 55mm, AF 100-300 zoom lens, 3.5-5.6/18-55 sam lens. Other Sony (DSC-H300) does not have interchangeable lens. Various memory cards, chargers, extra batteries and Sony tripod.Feedback
My advice for others trying to capture these kinds of images, is to be there when sunrise or sunset occurs. Be patient, experiment, and have fun. Shoot multiple shots, and with different settings. Tripods are not a must, but very helpful. If the first photo doesn't turn out, keep shooting eventually it will happen. Good luck and have fun shooting.
