This is the female Shoebill (seen in the previous images) giving the full Shoebill greeting, which consists of bowing and shaking the head while also clicking loudly with the beak, as described in the previous image. Sometimes it is just one or other of the two actions. I had succeeded in getting the male to greet me with the beak clicking, but not bowing and shaking the head like the female in this image. The female had not taken any notice of me, but then suddenly her keeper appeared, whom she immediately recognised, and this image is of her greeting her keeper - it just automatically happened the moment he appeared by the side of the enclosure. Quite amazing birds!!
