Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken as I was travelling back home in a plane.

Time

This was taken in the early morning just as the sun was rising.

Lighting

There was no additional lighting used in this picture, so I thought it best to use the natural light when taking this picture.

Equipment

I didn't have anything fancy with me during the time as I was just travelling. The shot was taken with just my phone just as all my other photos.

Inspiration

I had always wanted to take a beautiful picture of the sun rising together with the clouds. The only time where I was able to take this picture was when I was up in the sky with an early flight ticket. So, when I had the chance, I waited for the right moment, phone in hand. When we had flown to a certain height, there it was - the beautiful sight of the sun peaking out amongst a sea of clouds. With the sun's natural light, the clouds had a soft look with the center looking like a pit.

Editing

No, there was no post-processing because personally, I felt the picture had it all and I didn't want to spoil anything.

In my camera bag

I don't really have any fancy equipment with me for taking any of my pictures. Its just me and my phone.

Feedback

Something which I have learnt is that we don't really require an expensive equipment just to get a shot since technology in phones are already advanced. Another advice is to really take pictures spontaneuosly whenever you see something which catches your eye, because you never know when you might actually capture a picture during its golden hour.
