Behind The Lens

Location

This along with lot's of other images of Ben Wilks was taken at a local Studio shoot ( Shutter Shack Studio) i shot the image in Colour originally and converted it to mono as it seemed to the best option and i think it was

Time

This was done at an evening shoot in mid July

Lighting

The lighting was done with a good setup of 3 Studio lights which were remotely set and activated with a trigger set on the Camera and it certainly did the job

Equipment

My Camera at the time was a Canon 1300 DSLR with a 24-105 Canon lens and i used it hand held no tripod

Inspiration

I was inspired by the fact i like photographing people in studios and especially taking head shots there seems to be a lot you can achieve with that closeness with the models

Editing

Not a lot of post-processing a few highlight adjustments a small tweak on the eyes and texture on the image

In my camera bag

My equipment i carry to the shoots is my Canon 60D camera which is relatively new my 24-105 lens, 50mm prime lens remote trigger for long exposures also 70-300 prime, spare batteries and memory card lens cleaning kit plus other bits and bobs

Feedback

My advice definitely do some studio shoots as they are totally different set ups from landscapes etc and i find you can learn a lot about your camera settings, To me i enjoy this kind of photography
