Location
I took this photo in a place called Padis, Romania, a pitoresque mountain resort in winter as in summer.Time
It was around 4 in the afternoon and me and my girlfriend only had a couple of hours of daylight left, so we went for a walk. Snow was literally 1 meter high in places, you sunk half in if you didn't follow the path.Lighting
I was hoping to catch a nice sunset but when we got there the sun was behind the mountains already. Nothing else but clear sky, blant light and snow.Equipment
I had my trusty totally unprofessional Nikon D3300 with me together with the 18-55 kit lens, prepared for anything out of the ordinary. No other gear needed when something is extraordinaryInspiration
Walking for 5 minutes when I noticed the abandoned sheds near a line of trees, barely standing, paint falling off of them, as if only there to make for a last nice photograph.Editing
I downloaded the photo as soon as I got home and processed it a bit in Lightroom. +12 vibrance, +6 saturation, slight rlinear gradient at the top. Perfect. In my camera bag
Lately I have had more time for photography, so as it goes, I gathered more and newer gear. I have a small backpack still, with my EOS RP camera (made the switch really because of full frame and price, rather than other reasons), the 24-105 STM kit lens and a nifty 50mm 1.8. There is room for the DJI mini 2 drone and accessories, 3 batteries (RP is horrible at that), ND8 and CPL hoya filters, lens cleaning kit and that's it. Oh, and I always take with me a cheap Chinese but sturdy tripod which I almost never use, to the amusement of my girlfriend. But...it makes me feel prepared.Feedback
Look around. Always. There are so many extraordinary manifestation of ordinary things that it is truly impossible not to take a nice photo. I was feeling a bit sick yesterday, I mostly stayed in the apartment. There was an awesome storm with incredibly angry looking sky and gorgeous cloudy sunset few hours after. And birds flew through that gorgous sky. Two photos right there! Can't wait to post them soon on viewbug, also. Be good, do good and get good!
