Congratulation on your win. It was again very hard for me. I'm considering o.a. the scene, the composition, the used technics, the performance, the edit and the purity. The total of this decides the winner. Although still subjective, it is a rather "objective" way for the decision.
The scene is marvelous. Some luck, but also the prepartness to make that picture at that moment. You 100% succeeded in that. The composition is IMO very good, the technic is beyond question. The feathers are perfectly lit (very hard when your capturing a white swan) the texture of the feathers can be seen everywhere, very very nice! The sharpness is perfect. All together, a lot of eye candy.

Still one remark: I should have given the swan a bit more space… But like everything else, this is personal.

I agree with that but I had to crop tight because of all the other birds - the judgment I had to make was to go in tight or make the photo a bit more busy....😀
