I was travelling Europe with a bestie, and after about 22 hours, 3 planes, and a few hours in Paris, we had booked this hostel for the night. The taxi driver got us from the airport to the hostel without issue, and after assuring us that he would help with our bags (8 days in Europe. 2 women. Enough said), dropped them in the parking spot of the hostel, and peeled out! Nervous and stranded (no cell service at this point) and completely exhausted, we entered the building, and met one of the warmest hosts I have ever had the fortune of encountering. We ended up missing our flight to Rome a week later, and he picked us up at the airport, took us grocery shopping, and drove us back to the airport the next day to catch our new flight. for less than 10 Kuna.. the taxi had charged us 60, AND left us afraid and stranded. Anyway, I was taken aback by the absolute beauty of the building's facade, and the manicured private lawn. I took several photos of the exterior, but this one is my favourite. The foliage and blooms play wonderfully off the plae stucco cladding, and the wrought iron balcony is the icing on the cake.
