Captured at a canoe portage dock just upstream from my family cottage.
I like to sit on the dock, dangle my feet in the river below, and take a break before portaging down the trail.
In the distant background, you can just make out a little stilted house in the forest across the river (see my photo entitled, "Treehouse" for a better look)
I love the myriad of varying hues and textures in this image, from the warm wood and dirt, to the cool green trees, and even the dark, still water and it's honest reflections
