I was on vacation in Vancouver in Stanley Park and it had just rained the night before. I don't usually take flower pictures but I thought I would take some since there were a lot of flowers in this park. I took a close up and was happy with the way it turned out.Time
It was in the afternoon about 2:30 p.m. and the sun came out shortly while we were there so the raindrops that were on the flowers really showed on the petals.Lighting
I wanted to take a macro picture of a flower so when I saw this flower with the raindrops I decided that this was the flower I wanted to capture.Equipment
I always take my Sony DSC-RX100 with me on my vacation travels; it is a reliable camera that captures pictures very well.Inspiration
I usually take landscape pictures but I thought I would try my photography skills on taking a macro shot of flowers, hoping it would turn out okay. I am happy to say that this is one of my favorite captures where flowers are concerned, and I think the raindrops really enhanced the beauty of the flower.Editing
I don't normally do any post-processing. All I did as an edit was just sharpen the picture a bit.In my camera bag
I like to travel light on my vacations so just having my Sony DSC-RX100 on hand is enough for what I want to capture.Feedback
Taking pictures of anything is easy, the trick is to make the picture look more interesting. I am happy that I used the raindrops effect as a focal point in my capture of this flower. The result was definitely not what I expected seeing that I do not usually take pictures of flowers so I was really pleased and I hope people like the capture.
