Location
I took this in my home studio in London. The model (Sam) and I planed this in advance and I created the supporting imagery in Photoshop and by shooting miscellaneous wires and tubed I had around my house.Time
This was shot at 3:30 in the afternoon (according to the Exif info). We shot a number of other concepts that day so it was a long shoot that took most of the day.Lighting
We wanted her to look as much like a cyborg as possible. It was shot with an octobox and a back light.Equipment
It was shot on a Canon 5d Mk4 using a 24-105 lens set at 73mm at F8.Inspiration
We were looking at a number of cyborg/robot concepts and I thought it would be interesting to show a robot that was broken. I guess it was partly inspired by watching too much Westworld.Editing
So so much. The broken electronics was composed of bits and pieces I had around my house. The background was created entirely in Photoshop and of course there was some retouching of the model too.In my camera bag
I usually have my Canon 5d mk4, a 24-105mm F4 lens, a 70-200mm F2.8 lens, 2 Godox AD200s and a load of Magmod gear to modify the flashes. Usually I have a light stand and an umbrella too. However I shoot more in the studio than on location.Feedback
Make sure you shoot the supporting images in the same light conditions as the main subject. Be prepared to spend literally hours in Photoshop.
