Behind The Lens

Location

This Was Shot In St. Louis's Famous Forest Park On a Stainless Steel Bench. The Shot features Kenzie Underwood, a Well KLnown Midwest Model. IT Was Shot With a Lensbaby Composer, One of My Favorite Lenses. I Mover Her Around Until She Was Lit By The Reflecting Sunlight, Then Made The Shot. I Wanted a Double Exposure. We Don't Really Have Snow or Ice Here In St. Louis. SO! There Was a Photo by Dominik- Dombrowski of Unsplash I Really Liked. I Just Put 2&2 Together.

Time

Probably 2:00 In The Afternoon

Lighting

Natural Light. Just Be Patient. It Will Change. You Also Have to Know What You Want. I Know Wheather It's Going to Be Color or Black&White, Contrasty or Soft.

Equipment

Nikon D800. Lensbaby Composure

Inspiration

Kenzie Is a Beautiful Woman. I Wanted Something Different. I Just Didn't Know What it Was.

Editing

Pretty Average Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I'm a Former Photo Agency Photographer So I Carry Lots of Stuff. I Carry at Least 2 Nikons. A Nikon D800, a Nikon F4 Film Camera. Lenses I Use a 14-24 Nikor, 24-85 Macro Nikor, a 70-200 Nikor. I Love to Light So I Carry a Neewer 7511 Speedlight With a Custom Diffuser. It Has a Zoom Head That Goes to 180mm. a Godox A2200 With Umbrellas, a Ringlight, and a Baretube. It All Fits In an Old Tamarac Shoulder Bag. Sorta?!

Feedback

Wake Your Brain Up. Learn to See. Look at Everything. Everything Is a Mixture of Graphics. Each Location Will Have Different Graphics Depending On The Demographics of The Population. I Shoot Intuitionally. Nothing Has Rhyme or Reason, But it Does. I Do Lots of Things to Create Images Spiritually. I Have Lots of Mood Boards. I Go to Book Stores. I Study Other Art Forms. I Pay Attention to Dreams. I Write Down Most Ideas.
