Not quite there yet but it had been a long day with a morning drive through Tarangire to the airstrip for a transfer to Seronera. Then a packed lunch in the bush and another lengthy drive to Namiri Plains. Stopping for the herds that were following the rains and taking a detour to see one of the largest prides of lions I had ever seen.⁠

So eventually we came close to Asilia's Namiri Plain Camp and this was the scene on the approach. We had seen hundreds of elephants in Tarangire but this was possibly the only one we saw on our four days in the Serengeti.⁠
