Andreas Brenner of Germany competing in a 140 class at Cagnes-sur-Mer in the south of France, on one of the youngsters that he was in the process of training. This was at the beginning of April in pre-covid times, in very windy, cool conditions - hence wearing an outdoor jacket over his normal smart riding jacket, which is not usual! They are certainly playing it very safe over this particular jump, but as the jump is quite a wide spread, that is perhaps understandable at this quite early stage in the horse's development. They were fastest round the long course, against quite a large field of competitors, by the amazing amount of over 4 seconds, but unfortunately they had just one fence down!
