Behind The Lens

Location

The original picture is of my friend from university and i took this picture after one of our classes.

Time

It was probably around 1 pm when i took this picture. I still remember that we finished a class and had an hour of free time before the next class so we decided to do some photography. The editing on the photo was done 2 years after i took the photo.

Lighting

I took this picture in a little forest behind our university. And i found a spot which had a mix of shade and sunlight. I had to redo the lighting when i edited the photo to make it look more dramatic.

Equipment

I used my sony a6000 with a 55 mm lens. I edited the photo later in photoshop.

Inspiration

When i first took the picture it was just for fun. But the editing is inspired by the dark future that might be our reality if we don't start focusing on saving our planet and reducing pollution. Because climate change is real and it is already affecting a lot of people. The ufo is a metaphor for big corporations manipulating our thoughts.

Editing

Yes i used photoshop to edit this picture. I wanted to show a post apocalyptic world where people are forced to live inside bunkers because the mega corporations have destroyed our planet with pollution and toxins.

In my camera bag

I like to travel light so i just keep my camera sony a6000 2 lenses and some props like a prism in my bag.

Feedback

If you can't think of what to shoot what i find helpful is you shoot first and think later. Most of the times you will find one or two photos that you took might actually be good. And after some post processing you can make them even better.
