Location
This was taken on the backside of the Lake Livingston Dam, In Livingston Texas. My dad used to capture these pelicans every year as they migrate here....since his passing I have now taken up the tradition of capturing these beautiful creatures.Time
9am just around brunch time the morning fog had just lifted.Lighting
after the morning fog burned off it was much easier to capture them in not such a haze no flash necessary.Equipment
tripod, canon rebel with manual telephoto lens.Inspiration
As I mentioned this was my dad's passion and since he passed in 2020 I have taken up the reins and started to follow in his footsteps. Slowing down a bit and taking in the wonders and creatures we share this planet with.Editing
just crop and slight brightness filter not much I was super lucky to follow this little guy into landing. In my camera bag
2 canon rebel cameras and 50mm lense, manual telephoto lense, and a few others my new gorilla pod tripod and always backup sim cards and batteriesFeedback
patience! and take lots of pics of the 500 pictures I took this morning I absolutely loved maybe 10 and only 1 made the final but to submit...so power is in the numbers.
