I captured this pair during what I think was a mating ceremony whilst I was on a birding weekend.

I was on the bank of a river doing some birding when this guy decided to land on a twig a few metres away and rested long enough for me to take a shot

The robber fly, also called assassin flies. One of the many species of insects found in our region of South Australia.

It was sitting on the other side of a window I was looking through, so a perfect shot.

This beauty was snoozing away in the middle of the day

Caught this Pelican fishing whilst on a birding shoot at Maize Island Lagoon, Waikerie, South Australia.

He was drinking from a water point on my property. As he looked up I saw him blowing bubbles and saw his little tongue poking out.
