Behind The Lens
Location
Taking a walk in a park in Reykjavik on a frosty day, and there was ice-fog forming from a pond in the park. The sun was just breaking through the fog and created this nice background for a close-up of a freezing straw.Time
around two in the afternoon. This is as high as the sun gets in the sky in winter.Lighting
The light is all natural.Equipment
Canon EOS 400D, 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
I like the little things in nature, like when the first real frost of winter comes, and everything gets covered with ice-crystals.Editing
I dropped the highlights a little. In my camera bag
My camera, tripod, 18-55 lens and a 200mm zoom lens. Extra battery and extra memory card.Feedback
When doing extreme close-ups, be mindful of the background, and try more than one position for the camera.
