Location
I took this photo during a walk through Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a very large and beautifully kept cemetery where there are a lot of famous New Englanders buried from the decades and centuries past.Time
This was taken about midday with overcast skies during the autumn season.Lighting
I depended on the natural lighting to take this shot, and with wildlife they move so frequently sometimes you have to move quickly.Equipment
Nikon D7100, 70-200mm f2.8, handheld.Inspiration
My inspiration started with an owl presentation and the presenter stated that if you find a hole in a large tree knock on it like a door. Sometimes they would peek out to see who is knocking on their tree, so on my walk I found such a tree and sent my son to go knock on it while I watched. Suddenly this raccoon stuck his head out to see what was going on. Was a lucky day for me!Editing
I did some post-processing and cropping in Adobe Lightroom especially since I was dealing with natural light variations that was constantly changing. In my camera bag
Now I primarily use a Nikon z6, 70-200mm f2.8, 24-70mm f4, and a Lume Cube for some steady lighting.Feedback
