I can't remember the exact time this photo was taken, but I believe it was around 5:00 p.m. on a summer day.Lighting
It was a cloudless sky with a direct, late afternoon, summer sun. I was facing east when the picture was taken.Equipment
I used my Cannon T3 Rebel with a standard zoom lense, handheld.Inspiration
I had to take the picture because it was such a beautiful day and perfect location and view of the city. The air was so clear and the colors were absolutely popping.Editing
I bumped up the saturation a bit and added a vignette.In my camera bag
I usually just have my camera, the one standard zoom lens, and my tripod.Feedback
My advice is to not let the opportunity pass you by. Get the shot. Be patient and line it up exactly the way you want it. Who knows, you may take that iconic classic shot of your city or hometown!
