I love photographing aerial subjects (birds, planes and clouds) as, to get a good photo, you can need lightning reflexes (well maybe not for clouds) so when the drake took off I took my chance.Editing
Just a little cropping to get the image I wanted. In my camera bag
I’ve always got my 2 Canons - an EOS 760D and an EOS 100D. For lenses I normally carry a 50mm lens and a 200mm lens but if I’m after wildlife I will also take my 300mm lens which has IS giving me a bit more control for those hand held shots. For aviation work I also have an 18-55mm zoom and a 75-300mm zoom so that I can get the composition that I’m looking for when working at speed. All lenses are Canon.Feedback
Always be ready! Animals and birds are very easily spooked and not having your camera all set up and in your hands could mean you’ll miss the shot (goodness knows the number of avian photos I’d missed until I started carrying out this advice myself!)
