I was in Vienna for four days to photograph the hamsters in the central cemetery. But I hardly found any there. Fortunately, I had read that there should also be some in the Meidlinger Friedhof. So on the day of my return home I paid another visit to this cemetery. I also soon found numerous hamster holes, the beaten track in between indicated that they were inhabited, but there was no activity. After two hours I was about to give up. One last round of the cemetery, then I wanted to go. Then I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. So I waited again for a moment - hamsters don't hide for too long. While I was sitting there in the meadow, suddenly there were hamsters everywhere! Finally I had the motives for which I had waited in vain all the time in the central cemetery.
