Due to its popularity, you should visit this place in good time, otherwise it is not guaranteed that you will still get a good place for your tripod. So I arrived about an hour before sunrise and was the first. I was able to photograph wonderful foggy moods at the blue hour, but the variety of colors only unfolded when the sun rose over the horizonLighting
The sun came from the left, but was never within the frame, so exposure was never a problem. The position of the sun also caused the color gradient from warm colors on the left to cold colors on the rightEquipment
I took this shot with an Canon EOS 5D MK IV with an Canon lens EF16-35mm f/4L IS USM (ISO 100, f/11, 16mm, 15 sec). When photographing reflections, it is important to choose a longer exposure time. Even if the water is very smooth, you can make small waves and water birds or fish disappear. As a result, a tripod is of course necessary. But no matter what time: you definitely have to be there early - the space at this place is very limited, the mountain with its reflection fills almost the whole frame and you stand under trees whose hanging branches you don't want to have in the picture .
